Agri Field Days

Trade shows and agri-field days are an excellent opportunity for Australian agricultural companies to share their products with farmers and other agribusinesses, and for farmers and agribusinesses to learn about new products that can help them grow. At the largest events, thousands of companies and individuals get the opportunity to share the latest developments in agriculture.

Perhaps the largest agricultural trade show this year will be the Commonwealth Bank Agquip field days, held just outside of Gunnedah from August 16-18. Around 3,000 companies are scheduled to be represented at this year’s event. More than 100,000 farmers and other consumers are expected to attend the event to interact with these companies. According to Rural Press Events’ general Manager Barry Harley, many companies have tweaked product designs based on feedback obtained from attendees at past events.

The 2016 CRT FarmFest June 7-9 at Kingsthorpe Park, west of Toowomba, is slated to be a close second in size, with around 2,500 vendor displays anticipated. Visitors to FarmFest can expect to see a little of everything from ATVs to wood splitters, including livestock, equipment, supplies, and even mobile phones and welders. With improved facilities and more exhibits, demonstrations, and entertainment than ever before, FarmFest promises to be one of the premier agricultural events of 2016.

A relative newcomer to agricultural trade shows, Ag Grow is an event that began in 1989 but has grown to become one of the biggest social events of the year for rural communities near Queensland. More than 1,500 vendors will display and demonstrate their products to more than 28,000 people from June 7-9. Ag Grow sponsor Westpac is dedicated to making the event bigger and better each year, introducing 30-50 new exhibits every year since the beginning.

These three events are some of the largest agri-field days in Australia this year but are by no means the only exciting events for those in the agricultural industry. Be sure to check out some of these other great events this year to find out how you can get more out of your efforts.
